Ryuga Dogai faces a new challenge when confronted by another warrior in strange steel armor.
After hearing the rumor about a mysterious virtual reality headset which allows the wearer to participate in Versus Road game from his friend Hoshiai, Kuon finds himself acquired one of said headsets and enters the game along with 99 chosen players. There, the ring mistress of the game, Shuka, presents a golden suit of armor as the game's grand prize and explains that the first level's goal is to survive by any means necessary as their numbers are getting halved. To increase the challenge, two biomechanical demon beasts, Horrors, are released upon the players where the demons will devour those who failed to escape their grasp.
Makai Knight Jinga Mikage , along with his partner Makai Priest Fusa and younger brother Toma, hunts the beasts known as Horrors that are born from the human malevolence known as “Inga.”
In a prosperous city named Russell City, an omen that threatens to shake its world begins to move within it. A man named Sword is the first to hear the first stirrings of the plot, and throws himself into a shadow war in order to expose it. His only clue is the key word "El Dorado." He meets Sophie, a woman searching for her missing older brother who has only left her with the same words: "El Dorado." With Sword having also lost his younger sister in the past, both are drawn together by the words, and work together to find out its meaning.

Alphonso decides to seek out the man who inherited the Golden Armor to reclaim the throne and save his people.
Garo: Makai no Hana follows Raiga Saezima, the son of Kouga Saezima and Kaoru Mitsuki, who after his parents' disappearance when he was little, was trained by Silver Knight Zero to succeed his father as the new Golden Knight Garo.

Ryuga Dogai returns to investigate a new mystery - the theft of Makai Knights armour. Among the victims are Ryuga's old comrades from the Volcity crisis, Takeru and Aguri. The three will face off against an enemy previously though defeated - Zinga.

Leon, who has succeeded the name of Golden Knight "GARO," devotes himself to train a young Makai Knight for the next generation, together with Prince Alfonso of the Valiante Kingdom. Then, they receive an order to exterminate the most beautiful Horror in the world which resides in a neighboring country "Vazelia." At the same time, a young Makai Knight for the next generation is kidnapped by an unknown person. Leon desperately follows them, only to find that he is surrounded by his enemies at a dead end. Then, a Makai Knight Dario who was supposed to be missing for some time suddenly appears and rescues him. Under his guidance, Leon is led to the town where he meets up a totally unexpected person.

Ryuga and Makai Priest Rian attempt to cleanse the Golden Armor when they are confronted by living weapons- the Madou– who have another way to free the world from Horrors. In the process, Ryuga will unlock a new stage of power referred to as Garo Sho.
