A new movie director attempts to make a documentary about a Japanese actress/model who is returning to her hometown of Hong Kong. He is seen struggling with his efforts to edit his film shoots while the audience gets to see his video segments. At times the actress is cooperative at other times she is really difficult. The audience is also introduced to the city of Hong Kong by way of the narrative of the documentary so far. Then suddenly the actress is kidnapped in front of the director while at a film shoot. At the same time, he encounters a strange woman who insists that he should know her. Both the director and strange woman then have their own stories to tell about what they have experienced. The strange Japanese woman has come to Hong Kong to meet with her date that she arranged on-line. The movie then proceeds to reveal a confounding amount of mysterious hints as to the many questions being raised as to what is going on.
In 1802, 8-year-old Mio lost her parents in a river flood in Osaka and feels all alone after she is also separated from her childhood friend Noe. She is saved by Yoshi, the proprietress of "Tenman Icchōan", one of Osaka's famous restaurants, whom she happened to meet.
July 1590, Odawara. Toyotomi Hideyoshi's army had surrounded the Odawara Castle for over 3 months, hoping to conquer this last obstacle to his dream of the country's unification. Standing at the gate of the castle, a lone man facing the menacing guards shouted out: "Do not throw your lives away. Treasure living!". Not long after, the castle gates opened and the reigning lord surrendered. The name of that man is Kuroda Kanbee. An excellent military strategist, he worked hand-in-hand with Hideyoshi to unify the country.
Set in Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Five siblings, including eldest daughter Asa, all have their own problems. Then, their 60-year-old mother Fuko returns to Japan from Italy. Akiho Takeda is assigned to #3 investigation team for The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. On her first day at work, a burglary takes place at a jewelry store in Shibuya. The case though is taken by the #1 investigation team which Akiho hoped to join. Nevertheless, Akiho goes secretly to the jewelry store where the theft took place. Later, a safe at a jewelry store in Roppongi is broken into. Stolen from the safe is the diamond called "Besu". The "Besu" is one of three diamonds that makes up the "Kuraida Family's Three Sisters". The other two diamonds are "Ani" and "Kyasari". The diamond "Ani" was stolen from the jewelry store in Shibuya, that occurred a few days earlier. Several people believe the two diamond thefts were done by the same person(s), but Akiho mentions the techniques used by thieves are different. Yet, Akiho believes there must be a connection between the two cases.

“Karyu no Utage” tells the story of a housewife (Kuroki) from a middle-class household who has tried to raise her son with the belief that putting in great effort will result in even greater results, but his laziness leads to conflict between them. On top of that, he meets a woman over the Internet who is a part-timer like he is, and he later declares that they're going to marry. As the mother faces a widening gap between her ideal and her reality, the story explores the same gap that exists in modern society
Yanagishita Tomo is a Japanese actor. He is a member of the acting group D-BOYS. In 2006, Tomo won the Watanabe Entertainment's 3rd official D-BOYS audition with the Grand Prix and became an official member of the group. In Winter of the same year, Tomo won the role of Kaoru Kaidoh, the viper-like 2nd year regular of Seigaku Middle School's tennis club, in the Prince of Tennis musical series, Tenimyu, as part of the third generation Seigaku cast. Prior to his casting, Kousuke Kujirai, who had played the role before him with the second Seigaku cast, had filled in as Kaidoh with the third cast due to actor Takahiro Tasaki's withdrawal from the show. Tomo debuted as Kaidoh in the Absolute King Rikkai feat. Rokkaku ~ First Service musical on December 13, 2006. After the Absolute King Rikkai feat. Rokkaku ~ Second Service show, Tomo did not graduate with his fellow third cast members and instead stayed as an alternative with the fourth generation cast. He shared the role with Yuuichirou Hirata, who was cast as the new Kaidoh, for two shows: The Progressive Match Higa Chuu feat. Rikkai and Dream Live 5th, taking turns for different performances. Tomo graduated from his role as Kaidoh after the last performance of the Dream Live 5th live concert. During his run of the series, he got to work with fellow D-BOY members Tetsuya Makita, Koji Seto, and Masato Wada. He and Kujirai have both played Kaidoh the longest.
