This film tells about the youth and passion in the reclamation of Dachen Island; singing and romance; storm and struggle. The vivid characters and touching deeds of the film convey to a feeling: the times are changing, but the spirit of pioneering will not change.
Tao Yuling is an actor in Mainland China and graduated from East China Military and Political University. In 2005 Tao Yuling won the title of "One Hundred Outstanding Actors" awarded by the China Film Performance Society, and the "Outstanding Contribution Film Artist" awarded by the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television of the Ministry of Personnel. In 2017, he won the Lifetime Achievement Award of the 16th China Film Performing Arts Society Golden Phoenix Award.
