Fall of 1944. World War 2 is closing to an end. Nicu, a teenager, embarks on a journey through the wilderness of the Apuseni Mountains, trying to save the horses of his family.
16-year-old Andrian lives in Transnistria. At school he has problems with his peers, and at home with his parents. Andrian, who used to sing in the church choir, secretly dreams of ditching everything and going away with a friend to Italy, which he sees as a symbol of freedom from the present hopelessness. But there comes the Holy Week which will forever change his life.
The story is about two old men. One day they are invited to a friend’s wedding. On the wedding day, not knowing what present to give, they randomly decide to take the sofa from the courtyard. They steal a car, get the sofa on the top and hit the road. Little do they know, about the troubles this sofa would cause them.
