Anzai Takashi (Koichi Iwaki), the leader of the Anzai-gumi, enjoys poker at the Kishochokai’s underground casino. Meanwhile, a heated poker duel unfolds between female gambler Himiko (Sayaka Tsuruta) and university student Kota Katori (Shota Haruta). Kota loses, wiping out ¥2 million. Tokunaga (Masami Tate), a half-gangster, schemes to clear his ¥5 million debt by using Kota in a rigged game but gets caught, increasing his debt to ¥7 million. The next day, Tokunaga disappears, leaving Kota to shoulder the debt. Desperate, Kota’s girlfriend, Anna (Mari Yamaji), returns to her family home and explains the situation to her mother, Reiko. Seeking help, Reiko turns to her husband, who is none other than Kawabe Akira (Yoshiyuki Yamaguchi), the Anzai-gumi’s second-in-command.

Final film in the '任侠哀歌' trilogy. Kurosaki Ken (Namioka Kazuki) has now lost both parents to the machinations of the Kiryu Clan and his fire for vengeance hits its peak. However, the chairman of the Kiryu Clan, Kijima (Watanabe Hiroyuki), is revealed to have been both a close friend of Ken's father Hiroshi ... and Ken's own biological father. Kijima challenges Ken to a one-on-one duel and allow his son an honourable vengeance, but the Kiryu Clan's captain, Sagawa (Motomiya Yasukaze) interferes to protect Chairman Kijima and shoots Ken in the leg, ending the fight in a draw. Unable to move and but needing to further his plan to dismantle the Kiryu Clan, Ken beseeches his friend Daisuke (Isaka Tatsuya) to visit a certain person: Ishibashi (Sugata Shun), a detective who had been circling around the wild Sagawa. Realising their goals are aligned, Ishibashi shares a vital secret that may finally end Sagawa's rampant violence ...

2nd film in the '任侠哀歌' trilogy. Kurosaki Ken (Namioka Kazuki) burns with a desire for revenge after his father was killed by the Kiryu-kai. With Ken's declaration, Mikitani's scheme became public and the Kiryu Clan disown him. In order to split the Kiryu Clan and set his revenge in motion, Ken first assassinates Kawashima (Fujiwara Yoshiaki). Mikitani mistakenly believed that Kawashima's assassination was the work of Sagawa (Motomiya Yasukaze), and hid from the Kiryu Clan with aims to capture Sagawa. However, Sagawa saw through Ken's scheme and instead uses Mikitani in an attempt to kill him. Just as Ken was planning his next move, a man arrives at his hideout: Ando Tatsuya (Kitadai Takashi), Kurosaki's best friend, and the one whose crimes Ken went down for five years ago ...

Chivalry's Lament

1st film of the 任侠哀歌 series. Kurosaki Ken (Namioka Kazuki), the son of Saijo Fund executive Kurosaki Hiroshi (Akai Hidekazu), gets caught up in a dispute between the Sagawa and Kawashima groups, both of which are affiliated with the yakuza organization Kiryu-kai, and is captured by the Sagawa gang along with his friends Ando Tatsuya (Kitadai Takashi) and Hanamaki Daisuke (Isaka Tatsuya). Just as they are about to be killed, Ken's father Hiroshi saves the three. After being persuaded by Hiroshi, the three swear to reform, but Tatsuya is tricked by Mikitani of the Kawashima gang and is nearly killed. Ken accidentally shoots Mikitani while trying to stop him, and is arrested and sentenced to 5 years for attempted murder. While in custody, his father appears to commits suicide and Ken becomes consumed with guilt and doubts about the veracity of his father's murder. Five years later, Ken is released, and begins to look for answers ...
