Inside of his book, adventurous Harold can make anything come to life simply by drawing it. After he grows up and draws himself off the book's pages and into the physical world, Harold finds he has a lot to learn about real life.
A group of local animal control workers' lives are complicated by the fact that animals are simple, but humans are not. Leading the crew is Frank, an opinionated, eccentric animal control officer who may not have gone to college but is still the most well-read person in the room. In his past life as a cop, Frank tried to expose corruption in his department, but his efforts got him fired, leaving him cynical and curmudgeonly. Despite his rough exterior, he is blessed with an almost superhuman ability to understand animals.
Ravi Patel is an American actor, writer, and filmmaker known for his work in television and film. He has appeared in numerous TV shows, including Scrubs (2001), It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (2005), and Master of None (2015). He gained widespread recognition for co-directing and starring in the 2014 documentary Meet the Patels, which humorously explores his experiences with love and arranged marriage. In 2023, Patel joined the main cast of the Fox comedy series Animal Control, playing Amit Patel, an overwhelmed yet endearing family man and Animal Control officer. Beyond acting, he is also a philanthropist and co-founder of This Bar Saves Lives, a company focused on fighting child malnutrition.
