After studying at the French Lycée, she worked in the field of fashion shows, after which she moved to the cinema since the mid-sixties through the movie Zizi's Family (1963). She continued in cinema during the 60s through the films Cairo at Night, The Groom Arrives Tomorrow and Outside of Paradise. She continued to take some time away and come back, till she traveled to France to return to the field of fashion, and then returned to Egypt at the end of the 80s, and worked in art intermittently.
