In a tale rooted in ancient Greek tragedy, a patriarch must decide the fate of his son and the boy he raised when a long-standing unneighbourly feud turns to murder.
Zoe is an everyday woman who lost her smile 25 years ago when her daughter passed away. She works two jobs to make ends meet while her husband and son do not contribute. One night, when a boat falls on her head, Zoe dies and has a metaphysical experience, just before the doctors bring her back to life. Two weeks later, Zoe, confused, is still living a miserable and predictable everyday life. Until an unknown man appears in front of her... Zoe has started to see people who left life unjustly and abruptly. She transforms into a channel of communication between two worlds and her mission is now to help these people close a backlog they left behind before they died. The series is based on real events. It takes us to Kythera from 1906 to 1909 and chronicles one of the largest mass murders the country has ever known. There we meet the central figure of the story, Antonis, a peaceful shoemaker played by Panos Vlachos. A lovable young man, until he is unjustly slandered. The outcry of the local community forces him to leave. He makes a new start in Piraeus. Again, however, his attempt to escape falls on deaf ears. History repeats itself in the big city, filling Antonis with bitterness and anger. Now, there is only one way left for him: Revenge.

Two people, alone in a desolate city. Costas and Anna in Athens. Costas is an engine driver. The trains he drives travel from one end of the city to the other, following the traces of the ancient rivers that were paved over and made into roads. Anna sells ferry boat tickets at Piraeus, the city’s main harbour, the place where the rivers once flowed into the sea. Costas knows Anna. He sees her every morning, waiting on the platform for his train to take her from Thiseion to Piraeus; and he sees her every afternoon, when his train takes her from Piraeus back to Thiseion. Anna doesn’t know Costas. From the window of the train car she looks out at the same desolate city every day, without knowing who’s driving the train. When something happens to turn Costas’s life upside down, he decides to reach out from inside his solitude and talk to Anna.
