Its main character is Budong, a 10-year-old kid who dreams of becoming a real life and full-fledged superhero. Unknown to him, he possesses superhuman strength and abilities which he inherited from his Superhero father and Villain mother. The series started August 28, 2006 and ended its first season run on February 9, 2007, ranking at number 2 in the nationwide Philippine Nielsen ratings. The show went on air again November 3, 2007 titled, Super Inggo 1.5: Ang Bagong Bangis' as a prelude installment to the future events in Book 2 of the superserye. ABS-CBN re-aired the series with the title “Super Inggo: The Director’s Cut,” last September 22, 2008, before “Boy & Kris.”
