Born from the ashes of the iconic punk band Ebba Grön, this documentary tells the story of Imperiet and their journey to become the leading star of the post-punk generation and one of Sweden's biggest rock bands. It's also the story of Sweden, at a time in which they took their firm position on the world stage and when political commitment from the artists was a necessity.
An evening with First Aid Kit as their concert with fantastic guest artists is mixed with interviews with the artists themselves where they talk about the album and tour.
In 2016 Håkan Hellström had 2 sold-out concerts in Gothenburg.
In the 1980s there was a punk band in Stockholm who put out one single, got torn apart by local music critics and went away. 35 years later they are contacted by a music label from New York interested in their music.
With four sold-out gigs at Cirkus in Stockholm, one of the year's most acclaimed and watched Swedish tours kicked off in 2012. The album Beväpna Dig Med Vingar, which came out earlier this year, has been praised in unison, among other things in the words of Jan Gradvall in DI - "One of Sweden's greatest artists throughout the ages at the absolute peak of their ability". To sum up this fantastic year, parts of the two concert nights are now being released, partly from Cirkus in Stockholm and also from Sentrum Scene in Oslo.
