A company of carefree guys, passionate about computer shooting games, infiltrates a private laboratory where a military action simulator is being developed. Entering it, they find themselves in a world where the environment and what is happening are indistinguishable from real life. The guys manage to load into the "closed level" unfinished by the developers, where Belarus of 1942, occupied by the Nazis, is modeled. There, the guys are face to face with a real, not a computer war.
Year 1944. Shortly before the start of the Crimean Offensive, the ships of the Soviet Black Sea Fleet and the Azov Naval Flotilla are in serious danger: German underwater commandos are preparing a large-scale operation to destroy the main combat units of the Soviet fleet in ports and roads. Aware of the seriousness of the threat, the Soviet command is developing an operation to detect and destroy the main base of the German underwater saboteurs.
In the center of the plot is Ivan Lutoshin, a neurologist by profession and a loser in life. He finds out that he has an inoperable brain tumor and he has six months to live. He decides to commit suicide: after getting drunk, he goes out on the expressway and stands on the lane. But the car manages to pull out of the road. Police operative Tumanov is driving: after learning about the problem of a random acquaintance, he offers him to participate in deadly operations to catch bandits - if they kill him, then at least not in vain.
The elderly criminal authority Semyon Timofeevich Babushkin, about whose thieving talent legends were made up at the time, has not left prison for the last 35 years, preferring it to freedom, where he has no friends or relatives left.
