"Why is my son stupid?" laments the poor Roma coal miner. His son Dilino is a nice boy, but he still causes his parents a lot of worry. He hasn't picked up much sense, so he's not much use to the coal family, and he's got all kinds of crazy ideas on top of that. For example, he began to force his unfortunate father to go and ask for the hand of the princess herself for him!
A fairy tale based on motifs taken from Josephine tales. Like Josef II, the fictitious emperor Maxmilián often disappears from the castle in disguise in order to find out how his vassals live. On one of these 'trips' he meets a drummer returning home from his stint in the army. They live through various adventures together, meeting bandits as well as human foolishness and perfidiousness which almost leads them to the scaffold.
In WWII, Czechoslovakia split into the Slovak State and the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. Former pilot Viktor Lesa works for the Slovak Railway Mail and often comes to the border town of Ludendorf, the former Czech town of Bfeclav. In order to impress a young female colleague, he redirects an important package. The Gestapo shows up in the town and Lesa together with a Jewish clerk, Tichacek, have to run for their lives . They ride a cargo train to Slovakia and they decide to escape to Hungary by crossing the Danube.
Eva Horká was born on July 10, 1967 in Prague. She graduated from the State Conservatory in music and drama. From 1987-1998 she was a member of the National Theater. Since 1999 he has been engaged in the theater in Mladá Boleslav. She also taught at the art school in Benátky nad Jizerou. Since 2000 he has been teaching at the College of Acting in Prague.
