In 1983 Owl, North Dakota, the lives of three residents – elderly Horace, who spends his afternoons reminiscing in the local coffee shop; teenage Mitch, depressed backup quarterback star player-power-horse; and newly appointed high school English teacher Julia – along with those of the town's other residents, are upended by a historic whiteout blizzard.
Emma Halleen is an American born, British actor with citizenship in both countries. Her feature debut was at Tribeca Film Festival, playing the role of August Blanco Rosenstien's tomboy, little sister in "Downtown Owl", a movie co-directed by Lily Rabe and Hamish Linklater that starred Ed Harris, Vanessa Hudgens and Henry Golding (2024). She is best known for her role as Shelby Brubaker on "American Horror Stories" Season 3 (2023). Emma studies with Charles Carpenter at Storyteller's Conservatory and has studied at Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA) in their Advanced Acting Fundamentals program.
