Dreaming of great adventures and of standing up for his homeland, a young Portuguese man enlists in the army during World War I and is sent to the front line in Mozambique, Africa. Left behind by his platoon, he sets out on a grueling trek across the mystic Makua native land, walking for over a thousand kilometers, in search of his dream.
A story developed in two different narratives which are interlinked. On the first one, the two friends Bruno Nogueira and Gonçalo Waddington (playing themselves) set out on a caravan trip through Portugal with the desire to escape from their daily lives and find a solution for their personal struggles. On the second one, there's the fictionalized making-off of the miniseries itself.
Camané was born in 1967 in Oeiras, Portugal as Carlos Manuel Moutinho Paiva dos Santos Duarte. He is an actor, known for Humanos - A Vida em Variações (2006), Fado Camané (2014) and Camané As Gravações de Sempre de Mim (2008).
