A lawyer is selected to be in charge of a retrial for a case surrounding the abduction and murder of a girl in Kagawa Prefecture 21 years prior. At around the same time, another kidnapping case arises in which a young girl is also abducted with no charges being filled, making Chisa one of the victims. With this, she sets foot in her hometown of Kagawa for the first time in 10 years and, with the help of her colleague, reinvestigates the incident that had occurred at the time, where there is a high possibility that the perpetrator was responsible for the same incident, having Chisa confront the suspect who may have once tried to kill her in order to uncover the truth behind the incident.
Shiratama Sayako has never experienced much good luck. Since she was a child, she dreamed of becoming an architect. She studied hard, but she repeatedly failed her university entrance exams. Now, she is 30 years old and works in a field far away from her ideal job. One day, she happens to meet mysterious university student Ogasawara Taku. She tells him about her past dream of becoming an architect. Ogasawara Taku tells her that it is never too late and that she can still get accepted into a university. Inspired by their talk, Shiratama Sayako decides to study once again for her university entrance exams. After she studies so hard, she finally gets accepted into a university. There, Shiratama Sayako meets Ogasawara Taku again, who is a senior in the architecture department.

One day, An learns that her father is in serious condition. Her father was the only practicing doctor at a small clinic on a remote island. When An arrives, her father tells her to be a doctor who sees patients as a person and not a disease before he passed away. An decides to stay on the island because of a patient that her father cared about. A massive typhoon soon hits the island and a landslide then occurs. An unknown infectious disease spreads afterwards on the island. Iori knows that An is struggling on the remote island and he makes a decision for An and the residents of the island.
