Jassem Al-Tandeel, once a wealthy and respected merchant, suffers a severe blow when a devastating fire sinks his trading vessel, claiming the lives of his crew and wiping out his fortune. The series deals with an important era in the history of Kuwait, the period of the rule of Sheikh Mubarak Al-Sabah in the period between 1896 and 1915, and narrates some of the events that occurred in that period, such as his receipt of power, the Battle of Al-Sarif, the Battle of Hadiya, the attacks of Youssef Al-Ibrahim, his relationship with the Ottoman Empire, and the signing of the British-Kuwaiti protection agreement.
In 1967, three brothers from the Badr Al-Dajji family live on his personal path, Haji, the older brother who owns a sweets shop, the middle brother who died early, and the younger brother who takes what he is unjustly entitled.
