The evil Mr. Curtain is broadcasting subliminal messages using his fiendish machine, the Whisperer. Undetected, they enter the minds of people all over the world. The eccentric Mr. Benedict forms a team of resourceful children whose love of the truth enables them to resist the influence of the messages.
